This hand pounded brass singing bowl measures approximately 10" in diameter. Singing bowls date back to ancient times and are believed to be a powerful healing tool. Today they are widely used for meditation, yoga, therapy, and personal enjoyment. Singing bowls are played by striking with a mallet, producing a warm bell tone. They can also be played by slowly rubbing a wooden mallet around the rim to produce a continuous 'singing' sound.
